So sweet!!!!! I love this! What a beautiful story. I think jealousy can be a good thing. Men are built to compete for their mates. Women too though women can be really awful about it. Bye bye Bob! Happy anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary. However--you buried the lede in Note 5.

David Happy Anniversary to you and Debbie. Also, I like the new illustration of you which replaced your photo. Looks cool!

Footnote 5 is priceless. Happy anniversary! Jealousy, like all primitive emotions (and aren’t they all?), makes us “moderns” uncomfortable because it can’t be measured or monetized. What we do with it depends on how self-aware and intentional we are. At 22, I was a proper mess. 40 years later, I’m only marginally better. 🙃

A lovely tribute. Happy anniversary, you two! Someone pulled that wig trick on me once, and I'm sure the key is that the man doesn't know its effect until later.

Dating is a competitive sport. As Jose Ortega y Gasset noted (at least that's who I first read it from)- An interesting man is one who other women find interesting.

Love this so much...Knew about the sockless loafers from an earlier post--and once again, Debbie has my complete respect: No upturned collars! Happy Anniversary--and sigh. Lotus 123--I remember it well...

Jealousy may be hard-wired into us, but I've never suffered from it, personally. Of course, I have suffered from the effect of a boyfriend's psychotic and unfounded jealousy. Maybe it is best to think of it existing on a continuum, much like anger. Normal levels are good, psychotic is bad.

jealousy untainted by covetousness would seem to be the true winner here 🤗
